51st Anniversary Navy Cup ended

The AKPA Kimya- TAYK 51st Naval Forces Cup, an offshore yacht race with a distance of approximately 390 nautical miles, found its owners.

The AKPA Kimya-TAYK 51st Anniversary Naval Forces Cup, which holds the distinction of being the longest course, single stage race held in Turkey, was attended by 30 boats and 320 racers. Launched at 12:00 on Friday, July 22, 2022 in Çengelköy/Istanbul by Rear Admiral İ. Özdem Koçer, Commander of the Northern Naval Field Command, the race ended in Turgutreis on Monday, July 25.  At the award ceremony that started at 19:30 on the same day, the trophy was presented to the winning boat KIA Alize 34.7, Utku Gönener and his crew by Rear Admiral İbrahim Kurtuluş Sevinç, Commander of AKSAZ US.  KIA Alize 34.7, Utku Gönener and his crew, who also won the J-70 Monaco Winter Series 1 special award on November 3-6, were presented their awards by the main sponsor of the race, AKPA Kimya General Manager Mr. Kemal Darcan.
